A SUNNY ESCAPE

A SUNNY ESCAPE

Tired of the cold and grey days? In the mood for some good tapas, iced coffee in the sun and a light jacket? Then Barcelona is the perfect destination for you!

This beautiful and vibrant city is the perfect place for good food, art, beach, shopping and fun nightlife during a spring getaway.

Our founder Jacqueline lived and studied in Barcelona for 4 years and recently went back with Klemens to escape the cold and gives us some tips on what to do, where to go, and of course, what to wear.

Check out our Barcelona story for some inspiration.

Start your day with energy and excitement and discover the city wearing something suitable for lots of walking. The metro is great and well-connected, but if you're not in a hurry, we prefer to walk. It's the best way to discover places you might not find otherwise.

Our jumpsuits are great for city trips. They're comfortable and easy to throw on for the whole day. Style them with your favorite sneakers during the day or dress them up with boots, some nice earrings, and a fun lipstick for the night.

Walk up to Gràcia, a quiet and local neighborhood filled with little shops, cute restaurants, and sunny courtyards. It's calm and not so crowded, making it a perfect starting point to begin wandering around the city. We like Plaça de la Virreina for a coffee in the sun, and El Café del Teatre close by for a little lunch or cocktails in the evening.

Walk down from Gràcia via Passeig de Gràcia and you will pass by Casa Milà and Casa Battló, both designed by Gaudí, the famous Catalán modernist architect who is also behind La Sagrada Familia and Park Güell. The structures are beautiful and definitely worth visiting.

Continue walking all the way towards the sea and you will find Barceloneta, a long beach just next to the city. It's always full energy, lots of restaurants, perfect for beach days in summer and to chill and enjoy the sun in spring.

To stay extra cozy during a beach evening, we brought The Stone Grey Sweater and The Straight Blue Jeans, oversized and cozy just how we like it!

When sun is down walk up again to El Born, a central area with narrow streets filled with boutiques, restaurants, and bars for some nice tapas and wine.

Time for a new day, new adventures and more cafés con leche! Time to discover more of the central and medieval area Ciutat Vella which consists of El Born, El Raval and Barrio Gotico, all quite crowded and touristic, but so beautiful with the narrow streets, high old houses and sunlight slipping through every crack and rooftop. We walked around the whole day visiting little boutiques, stopping for some patatas bravas, jamon iberico and a cold beer in one of the sunny spots, ending the night in either El Raval or El Born.

For a full day of wandering around the city we love to sport a good leather jacket and jeans. It's simple, comfortable and always works! Finish the look with our jewelry and you have a perfect casual city look.

Another one of our favorite looks for a city trip in spring is denim on denim! Our denim jackets go with almost anything you might bring with you. Wear it with your favorite dress or with our new black straight jeans for a full and comfy denim look.

Parc de Ciutadella is the perfect place to relax, walk around, and bring some food to have a picnic. After that go to Park Güell up on the mountains with a beautiful view over the city and incredible gardens and architectural elements by Gaudi. The full city view from the park is spectacular. But if you're not really into architecture, or if you're more of a food lover, go to La Boqueria, a big food market by La Rambla where they sell fresh fruits, vegetables, seafood, etc., but you can also have some tapas and wine and enjoy the vibrant market!

Our last look of the trip features The Bomber Jacket and The Coated Black Jeans. For the chillier days and evenings the jacket is a great choice to stay warm. It's oversized, snuggly, and looks good dressed down or dressed up!
