MIKUTA is a way of living. We believe in a life shaped by movement, curiosity, and experience. As we explore the world, we capture the moments that stay with us. Through design, those moments become tangible: timeless treasures made permanent in every stitch. Built on a perennial design structure, each collection is made to move with you, through every place, moment, and mood. In the beginning, there was no business plan taped to a wall. No strict rules or expectations to follow. Only a quiet intuition that guided every decision to lead us here. That freedom is how we create on our own terms, building something that we feel, from then to now, remains independent by nature.
Where it began
Jacqueline Mikuta was born in Sweden, grew up on Mallorca, and moved through many cities, never quite feeling like she belonged in one place. She found that choosing simplicity over excess kept her grounded and wondered how that idea might be shared with her growing community. She met her partner, Klemens Weiss, by chance as flatmates, and the two quickly formed a creative, free-spirited collaboration. What began in 2017 as five simple jewelry designs packaged and shipped from their apartment has grown into something far greater. Today, they travel the world together as founders and co-creative directors, following a shared curiosity about the natural world and transforming what they find into a wardrobe.
Through their lens
Still using the original production setup from a decade ago, Jacqueline often steps in front of the camera while Klemens works behind it, personal expression fueling their creative harmony. Together, they've built a distinct visual language: a dialogue between the two of them and those who have followed since the beginning.
Through their lens, what comes into focus is not a perfect journey, but a real one, where there's always a new discovery, and always more to explore.
