Hello loves!
This spring we traveled to Milos to shoot The Endless Summer Collection. It was our first time visiting the island, and it quickly became one of our favorites. We were there at the end of April so it was quite calm, but perfect for the shooting.
We spent our days capturing the summer pieces, enjoying in turquoise water, exploring the little villages and discovering hidden corners of the island along the way.
As always, we wanted to share a few of our favorite spots from the trip with you. Whether you're planning a visit yourself or simply dreaming of a Greek island escape, here are some of the places we loved most on Milos ♥
SARAKINIKO
Without a doubt one of the most beautiful places we visited on the island, and probably the most famous. The white volcanic rocks and turquoise water create a landscape that feels unreal. We spent several mornings and evenings there shooting the collection and never got tired of the view. It's a pretty big area, so even when it's busy you can usually find your own little spot. There are also natural pool-like areas between the rocks, perfect for cooling down on a warm beach day.
______
FIROPOTAMOS
Another stunning spot on the island. In Firopotamos, you can enjoy two small bays with little fishing houses, incredibly clear water and two sandy beaches for those who prefer not to jump from the cliffs. We loved how calm it felt there, especially in the morning when the water was completely still. So beautiful. One of our favorite spots on the island.
______
KLIMA
A small fishing village famous for its colorful traditional fishermen's houses built right by the water. It's not really a beach destination, but definitely worth a visit. Take a walk, enjoy the views and stop for lunch by the sea. The authenticity and charm of Klima will capture your heart immediately.
______
PLAKA
The capital of Milos, full of narrow whitewashed streets, beautiful little corners, boutiques, cafés and restaurants. Perfect to wander through during the day or spend a cozy evening in. It has a lively but relaxed atmosphere, with all the traditional Greek houses, small squares and beautiful views around every corner. If you're visiting, make sure to stay for sunset. The views over the Aegean Sea are indescribable.
______
MANDRAKIA
One of the smaller harbors we visited, but also one of the most charming. There are lots of colorful boat garages, crystal-clear water and little plateaus where you can lay down and enjoy the sun. It's a great spot to spend a little time if you have a few hours to spare, take a swim and enjoy the calmness away from some of the busier beaches.
______
A few other places that deserve some attention:
POLLONIA
A lovely seaside village on the northeastern side of the island. It has a relaxed, local feel with waterfront restaurants, small beaches and a beautiful harbor, which makes it a great place to stay for a few days.
______
ADAMAS
The main port town of Milos and a great base for exploring the island, this is where we were staying during our trip because it was close to everything. You'll find cafés, shops, restaurants and a lively harbor promenade that's especially nice in the evening.
